One of the volunteers at our partners in the Algarve was alerted to the suffering of some puppies that were being kept in squalid conditions. They found two puppies each from different mothers.

When the elderly couple were approached about their neglect, they readily agreed to handover the two puppies to the rescue.

When the volunteer returned with the paperwork to formalise the surrender of the puppies, it became apparent that neither of the couple could read or write but they verbally agreed to give away the puppies and also agreed to have their mums sterilized.

So Scooty was taken into care only a few weeks old and he quickly made friends with the other dogs at our Portuguese fostering centre, where he remained until coming to the UK.

Scooty is very friendly with people, adults and children and loves to play with other dogs.

He has passed his driving test and cat test and loves to play in the paddling pools.

He is fully vaccinated and comes with his own passport.

Size: Medium, when fully grown (Currently 6kg at 4 months old)

DOB: April 2020
