Ricko - Adopt me!
Ricko is now a 5 month old puppy who was adopted two months ago and has been living with a family with young children, but due to lockdown hasn't been getting much socialisation. One of the adults works from home, but has come to realise that working from home, doesn't equate to having sufficient time to train a puppy. Trying to train in the evening when Ricko wants to sleep or condensing training into weekends, isn't proving sufficient. He is calm during the day but gets very excited when the kids return home from school and wants to play. They now feel like he needs a family that can make that commitment.
He travels well in the car, loves playing with children and is very affectionate. All his siblings are going to be local.
Ricko is house trained and is very friendly with other dogs. He can get excited on lead, but is now being also walking on a loose lead when there are no distractions. He's keen to chase squirrels and is displaying prey drive.
He is wary of strange noises and would greatly benefit from another dog in the house or experienced owners who know how to help him and step up his training.
Ricko was rescued along with his mother and seven siblings. They were rescued very young and were brought up in a private shelter and have never been neglected or abused and are a very playful and friendly litter.
Ricko has been checked out by a vet, microchipped and is also fully vaccinated and treated for worms, ticks and fleas and come with his own passport.
Size: Medium in size, likely to be around 22/25 kgs when fully grown.
Date of Birth: 03/07/2020
Adopters should live within half an hours drive of Fleet as we like all our adoptions to be local.
